
WASHINGTON COUNTY, UT – The Healthy Dixie Council has selected April Keil as the recipient of the Healthy Dixie Award for January, 2011. April is a local Zumba instructor that inspires all around her to be healthier and embrace their best self. She is very active in the community and teaches free fitness classes. Everyone who does Zumba with April does it because she makes them feel special.
"April not only encourages you to exercise she encourages you to be happy in your life and to help out whenever you can, said LaRae Nelson, who nominated April for the recognition, "You can't help but smile just thinking of April". Amber Spencer, who also nominated April said, "April inspires all around her to be embrace their inner goddess. She really brings out the best in people."
“The Healthy Dixie Award is an opportunity to recognize people or organizations who are taking action to improve the health of our community”, explains Jane Lambert, the Council president. "The Healthy Dixie Council wants to thank them for their contribution.”
Healthy Dixie is a local coalition of citizens, businesses, city governments, the school district, and health entities working together to promote health and wellness.
