Healthy Dixie

Organizations supporting physical activity for low-income children, dental care for the uninsured, and exercise classes for seniors are among the recipients of the Select 25 Award. 

“We are proud to assist other organizations who share a similar goal of increasing health and quality of life throughout Utah,” said SelectHealth President and CEO, Pat Richards. “Each of these Select 25 award recipients, though varied in approach, works toward the same end—making life better for those around them.” 

SelectHealth created the Select 25 award to recognize Utah nonprofits that work to improve wellness in their communities. Applicants were asked to tell SelectHealth how they would use $2,500 to further their mission. More than 200 organizations applied. 

“We are very grateful to SelectHealth for this opportunity,” said award recipient JoAnne Duke, cofounder of Hale Family Life Jacket Foundation. “It is wonderful that they support the community and programs such as ours.”
